Once a month we host a free community dinner. Anyone is welcome. We even advertise in the local paper. Donations are accepted and, as it turns out, we're able to at least beak even most of the time.
Even with Mthr. M-G unable to attend, Pidge Darkness was very excited about the idea of tacos at church. She said, "That is going to be so funny to me."
We both had a great time. We met some older members of the parish that attend the earlier Sunday service. Pidge had no trouble conversing with them and I had to do little-to-no "translation".
I'm very happy and proud of my girl for how comfortable she is in her new church home.
